Visby, Sweden June 9

We never went ashore to see Visby.  Why you might ask?  Well, the ship could not dock in Visby, so as usually happens when that is the case, we anchored off shore and took tenders in to shore.  A tender, as I previously mentioned, is a lifeboat used to shuttle passengers ashore and back.  We went down to the gangway and saw what looked like a red cork bouncing around in the sea.  People had to time their step into the tender with the erratic wave motion.  We chose to skip it.  I don’t think there are enough seasick pills in the world for that trip.  It turns out that one of the tender sprung a leek.  No one was injured, just some people got very wet.
